Join the FREE MasterclassI believe the reason we decided to start our own pharmacy business was to make a positive difference in people’s lives with our products, services, and personal experiences.
I also believe the reason why we opened our own business was to have control of our time, to create our own legacy, to be in charge and to have total freedom with our choices and lifestyle.
I believe that all pharmacy owners have the knowledge, wisdom and experience gifted to them, from what they have learned in their lifetimes with their struggles, challenges and triumphs and can be used to help other people.
I believe when you take this experience that you can serve, share, and create new ways to make a positive impact within your community.
I believe that when we provide more value and a better experience that more business and money will follow.
However, we all know that being in the pharmacy business isn’t an easy task. With the daily frustrations of excessive government regulations, accreditations, audits, claw backs, DIR fees, PBM hula-hoops, high drug costs, low margins, payroll, AP, AR, employee drama and the constant daily interruptions. It’s a wonder how we get through each day and still maintain a positive outlook and steer the course of owning and marketing a successful business.
Some owners say, it shouldn’t be this way. But the reality of the matter is, it is this way, and unfortunately that’s the nature of the pharmacy business, like it or not somethings aren’t going to change no matter what. So why even bother draining your mind and energy dealing with issues we cannot control.
Instead focus on what you can control. You control how you operate your business. You set your own policies, processes, and procedures to ensure added value and a better experience with clients. You can lead your team culture by constantly instilling your core values, mission, and purpose by conveying this philosophy in everything you do.
You can control the message to attract the ideal client into your business and establish lifelong relationships with proper strategic marketing systems in place.
I believe that we are in the business of marketing the products and services that the pharmacy has to offer.
I believe that as a pharmacist and a pharmacy owner you are sitting on a goldmine of opportunity based on how you’re currently positioned within your local community.
Today’s consumers already consider you the pharmacist as one of the most trusted individuals in the community and as a health care professional you should be asking yourself these questions.
How can I serve my clients and community in ways other than just filling prescriptions?
What area of interest, knowledge or experience can you share that could add more value to people’s lives?
What can you create that would provide a better experience and promote solutions to live an active, healthier lifestyle?
To make a real difference in people’s lives and stand out in your community, always ask yourself:
How can I serve?
What can I share? and
What can I create?
I believe that you must position yourself and pharmacy as the local expert, in an area that you honestly, deep down believe can serve and make a difference in people’s lives.
It’s your fiduciary responsibility as a health care professional to share that message, that product or service with every person that could benefit from it.
I believe in your ability to become a local expert. To serve, share and create new experiences to make a difference in other people’s lives.
I believe that as a pharmacist and a pharmacy owner you are sitting on a goldmine of opportunity based on how you’re currently positioned within your local community.
